Zamved Advisory Limited ("Zamved", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you.

This Policy applies when you visit zamved.com, contact us, complete a Zamved form or assessment, respond to a Zamved advertisement or Meta Instant Form, subscribe to our communications, or participate in a Zamved learning community.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Zamved Advisory Limited is the data controller responsible for deciding how and why your personal information is processed.

2. Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details, such as your full name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
  • Business and professional information, such as your business name, industry, role, business stage, website status, tools used and areas where you would like support.
  • Form and assessment responses, including your business challenges, AI use, learning interests, messages and other information you choose to provide.
  • Community and communication information, such as your subscription status, communication preferences, messages to us and participation in a Zamved WhatsApp group or community.
  • Lead information from Meta, when you submit a Facebook or Instagram Instant Form, including the answers you provide and information associated with the lead form or advertising campaign.
  • Website and technical information, such as your IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, referring page, and the date and time of a visit. This may be collected through essential cookies, server logs or similar technologies used to operate and secure the website.

Please do not submit confidential business information, passwords, financial account details, health information, identity documents or other sensitive personal information unless we specifically request it and explain why it is required.

3. How we use personal information

We may use your personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and communicate with you;
  • provide requested advisory services, assessments, resources or learning content;
  • register you for the ZAMVED Free AI Learning Community and send your community access link;
  • send practical AI lessons, community information and occasional updates where you have agreed to receive them;
  • manage subscriptions, preferences and requests to unsubscribe;
  • operate, protect, troubleshoot and improve our website, forms, services and communications;
  • understand which services or content are useful to our audience;
  • prevent misuse, fraud or security incidents; and
  • comply with legal, regulatory, accounting or reporting obligations.

We will not use your information for a materially different purpose without giving you appropriate notice and obtaining consent where required.

4. Grounds for processing

We process personal information only where there is an appropriate basis, including:

  • your consent, for example when you opt in to learning emails or community updates;
  • steps requested by you or performance of a contract, such as responding to a service enquiry or delivering an agreed service;
  • our legitimate interests, such as operating, securing and improving our services, where those interests do not override your rights; and
  • compliance with a legal obligation.

You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.

5. Email and marketing choices

We send learning emails and promotional updates only where permitted by law and consistent with the choice presented when your information was collected. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting info@zamved.com.

Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we may send essential service messages, respond to an enquiry you initiated, or retain a limited suppression record so that we can respect your opt-out request.

6. How we share personal information

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

  • service providers that support website hosting, form processing, email delivery, customer relationship management, analytics, security or professional services;
  • Meta Platforms and its services, including Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, when you use a Meta form, respond to our advertising or choose to join or contact us through WhatsApp;
  • professional advisers, auditors or insurers where necessary; and
  • regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.

Service providers are expected to process information only for authorised purposes and to protect it appropriately.

If you join a WhatsApp group within a community, other members of that group may be able to see your phone number, profile information and messages. WhatsApp independently processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. Review your WhatsApp privacy settings before joining or posting.

7. International processing and storage

Some technology providers used for forms, hosting, email or communications may process or store information outside Zambia. Where personal information is transferred outside Zambia, we will take steps required by applicable law, which may include obtaining consent and using approved safeguards, contracts or regulatory permissions.

8. How long we keep personal information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution requirements. In general:

  • enquiry and assessment information is kept while we respond and for a reasonable follow-up period;
  • community and email subscription information is kept while you remain subscribed;
  • client and transaction records are kept for the duration of the relationship and any period required by applicable law; and
  • technical or security records are kept only as long as needed to operate and protect our systems.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymise it, or securely restrict access where immediate deletion is not technically possible.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet service or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • be informed about how your personal information is used;
  • request access to your personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of your information;
  • object to or request restriction of certain processing;
  • prevent use of your information for direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent;
  • request data portability where applicable;
  • ask for human review of certain automated decisions; and
  • lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Zambia.

To exercise a right, email info@zamved.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through these services. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

12. Third-party services and links

Our website and communications may link to services operated by other organisations. Those organisations process information under their own privacy policies, and Zamved is not responsible for their independent privacy practices.
